Terms of Use
Last updated: May 2026
1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using Maula, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you should not use the app.
2. Purpose of the app
Maula provides scam risk alerts for phone calls, SMS messages, and reported numbers. It is designed to support safer decision-making, especially around mobile money and financial requests.
3. No guarantee
Maula cannot guarantee that every scam will be detected or that every flagged number is fraudulent. Risk alerts are based on reports, patterns, and available intelligence.
4. User reports
You agree to submit honest reports. False, abusive, malicious, or misleading reports may reduce the quality of protection for other users and may lead to restriction of app features.
5. User responsibility
You remain responsible for verifying calls, messages, payment requests, and financial instructions. Never share your PIN, OTP, password, or sensitive personal information with unknown callers.
6. App permissions
Some features require phone, SMS, contacts, notification, call screening, and display-over-apps permissions. If permissions are denied, some protection features may not work fully.
7. Updates
Maula may be updated to improve detection, security, design, performance, and user safety.
8. Limitation of liability
Maula is provided as a safety support tool. The developers are not liable for losses resulting from scams, missed alerts, incorrect reports, network failure, device limitations, or user decisions.
9. Changes to terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Maula means you accept the updated terms.
